I just watched this video on Lisa's blog. It's a quick clip about a high school boy with Down syndrome who was voted Homecoming King. And while that is all well and good, what brought tears to my eyes (ok fine, it was a full-out cry!) was the Homecoming Queen's reaction.
Acceptance. Pride. Kindness. Love.
This is the stuff that fills me with hope for Dylan's future. For I have a strong suspicion that we are in for some amazing things.

Wow, that was beautiful. I need a tissue now. What a neat girl to see the beauty in our kids and what a handsome young man. Thanks for sharing.
I'm cursing you for that! (JK) Tissue please...one for my daughter too! I love to see stuff like that. It's inspiring and good to know that there is still good people out there! Thanks Laurie!
What an awesome clip! I love to hear of things like that to remind me of what amazing things we have waiting for us in our future!
That was great. I just can't tell you how great it was to spend the weekend with Cass and Dylan. He just melts my heart! Love him.
Dammit, Laurie, now I'm crying!
