strollin' down the carpet...
Today Dylan's Physical Therapist brought over a posterior child walker.
While Dylan has been showing an interest in pulling to stand recently, I am learning that walking is an entirely different and complex skill. One that is going to take some time. Even the concept of putting one foot in front of the other does not quite make sense to Dylan just yet. His strength is building, but his comfort and confidence in the upright position need some boosting.
But just like everything else, he will get it. He will. We've got the time.
And baby steps are certainly fine by me.

Such cute pictures. He is looking like such a big boy these days!
Dylan has made such great progress! Super job!
Very cool! I'm sure that this will be the next step for Lily once she masters the mobile stander which she is doing better at every day.
Hi...I just found your blog from a referral from Christi Harrison's blog Ni Modo Todo. I have a little girl with Ds who is a couple months older than Dylan. Ella is currently being treated for leukemia but is doing awesome!! I don't know how I have never found you before...we have a lot of friends in common. I look forward to following in your journey and am especially excited about your upcoming adoption (if I read that correctly). I have such a heart for those orphans in EE...I just hope that someday it is right for us!!
Baby steps are perfect. That is where we are at as well. I hear all these horror stories about our kids running all over the place and getting out of the house and getting lost so I am enjoying the not walking yet stage. :-)
He is looking good.
