So, remember how I had posted a few days ago how Dylan had slept through the night? And how I thought maybe it was the beginning of sleep filled nights to come? Well, yeah. Apparently that one night was a total fluke. Dylan is back to his old tricks of eating every 3 hours and then some. During the day and the night.
Could all of this eating still be the result of his heart surgery? I know that he lost 2 pounds, but I would guess that he's made that up by now. Right?
I have even added 2 additional feedings consisting of pumped milk and jarred sweet potatoes. Well, actually I was using the milk that I pumped while Dylan was in the hospital but that, along with everything else, spoiled when our power went out. Man, that still really bums me out. All that work for nothing. Anyway...so today I used water, oatmeal and half a jar of sweet potatoes. Seems like quite a bit to me, but yet he still seems hungry.
What gives? I do not know if this is normal behavior or if my kid has some kind of tapeworm or something?!
This is what happens when I stop feeding him for 2 seconds so that I can get a picture:
I feel like he's saying, "Must. Eat. At. All. Times.".
Ahh!

Dylan is SO ADORABLE!!!. Laurie, hang in there, very soon he will be sleeping through all the night. Yes, he looks like he has gained lots of weight :). I can tell you that after her OHS my niece EATS, EATS and EATS, she LOVES food, the more you give her, the more she wants, like Dylan all she wants is food at all times, she is so cute, she looks like a little ball, she is all round. :)
Those pictures are so cute! I sure don't have any advice though. Lily still doesn't really show that much interest in eating. She's gaining weight slowly...but at least she's gaining. Her pediatrician doesn't seem concerned. All I can say is hang in there.
OH Dylan is so cute. I think he just wants to be big and strong.
Ok, could little Dylan be ANY cuter? Really. He is adorable. I too have a son with DS and he is 10 months old right now. He just started to wake up at night too....many times in the night and I think our reason is my supply is getting low so he is trying to build it back up again. I think he's figured out that he can get my attention at night so he's taking full advantage of it!!! Anyway, I totally empathize with you. Hang in there. Who needs sleep anyway?!?!
We too have a blog at www.trisacharm.blogspot.com if you ever want to check it out :)!!!
Oh my gosh, can he be any cuter? Such a sweet looking boy, even where he's demanding more food! Oh, you poor thing, Laurie. I'm sure you're exhausted. Dylan certainly is giving you a run for your money. This too shall pass, this too shall pass . . . keep saying that.
SOOOO cute! Well, I guess you'd rather him be eating than not right? Could be a combined trying to gain the weight back and growth spurt? Brayden did this about a month ago...ate a lot more...but just this last couple of days...not really into eating as much?? He was getting really chunky...I LOVE the pictures! Glad you have power again too! Sorry all that pumped milk is gone...I feel your pain on all that work of pumping... Hope he'll get the hang of sleeping through the night again soon for your sake...all babies go through their little cycles...
Dylan looks pretty good to me, I guess he's just making up for lost time but just keep an eye on his weight on a DS chart if your worried that he's eating too much.
I'm pretty sure he'll settle down soon, it's still early days after his surgery and this may be the first time he's ever really felt like eating in his life.

AHHH! Those pictures are the cutest ever!!!
How cute is HE?! I love it! Some days I totally feel the same, and others I have to force any food I can squeeze in! That is super impressive, half a jar mixed with oatmeal?! Very nice Dylan!!
LMAO What a cutie. So glad he likes eating.
