I am a coach in my town for Special Olympics and deal with people young and old with Down Syndrome. I also have a cousin with DS.
The only thing that I could advise you based on what I have seen is to place no limits on Dylan. Don't let anyone tell you what he can't do. If you do, it will hold him back.
Although he may not reach milestones at the same pace as other children his age, he CAN achieve them!
