The high (and not so high) lights:
We got a brand new swing set, Dylan got a cold, I unpacked our bags from the cape. We ate clams that were gathered by Martha, did mountains of laundry, and watched American Idol. I got a cold, we went to gymnastics class and the orthopedist. Dylan got conjunctivitis. Cassidy went to school (not exactly agreeably), Dylan had speech therapy, Cass fell off her swing on the new swing set and bruised her nose. Cassidy got conjunctivitis and built forts with our couch cushions. We made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches together.
I gathered and mailed some important paperwork, and met up with a friend I had met online years ago and to my delight, discovered that we share a special common bond.
I overheard Cassidy, as she jumped up and down on the couch, singing "Imma Be" by the Black Eyed Peas. Our play kitchen fell on top of Dylan and left a bruised forehead. My mom flew in from Wyoming. Dylan had PT, our dog swallowed a large rock and Dave got a cold. Our other dog discovered a lovely spring swamp near our house.
I enjoyed my afternoon cups of coffee while outside the weather fluctuated between warm and sunny and cold and snowy.
And Dylan - he discovered yet another way to avoid eating food. Because placing it atop your head is so much more enjoyable...
And wouldn't you know that that, is the only picture I took throughout the entire week?!

Wow - I'm shocked you could sit down and remember all those details of the week! You're wonderful because in such a busy world you never miss the simple, silly moments - Cassidy singing or Dylan with food in his hair.
wow! hope everyone is feeling better in your household! and yes, i agree with katie...well said!
and i sooo hate it when sydney puts food in her hair...yogurt works as good as any hair gel dontcha know?! OY!
Phew! Just reading it makes me want to sit back and take a nice deep breath! What an eventful week! And I love the picture, at least it was a good one since it was the only one!
Every so often I to read your blog and it makes me stop to think how much you have changed since I first knew you, so many years ago... Just keep doing this great stuff -- it really seems to fill you up. (Also, you write really well!)
WOW - loved your post! You sure had a busy week!
Eating food from the top of your head is so much more fun... :)
Wow, what a week....I'm impressed that you remembered all of that:) I can't remember what I had for dinner last night...lol!! Maybe he thought you wouldn't see the food on his head...I happen to think that was quite clever of Mr. Dylan (always thinking how to stir things up):)
Whew, that was a mouthful. I love the photo... it kinda sums up your incredibly busy week. John Michael sometimes does that, too... rubs yogurt or something else in his hair with his fork like he's combing it in. Ick.
Yikes.
Who did you meet? Anyone I know??
Phew!!! Sounds like a full and busy and wonderful life to me :)! And it's always fun to see a new picture of Dylan...even with food in his hair :)
What is it with food on the head? Sam does that as well or he just throws it on the floor for Buster our Dog to eat, that is his favorite thing to do. We really need to get these two together, they are like twins!!
This has me laughing because I think just about everyone can sympathize with weeks like these!
