Because of Dylan...

...we have been incredibly fortunate. In oh so many ways.

One of them being that we've connected with the most wonderful people. Parents whom we may have never met if it weren't for our common bond - Down syndrome.

We have become good friends with Dylan's buddy Aaron.

With his great pal Josh.

And with Kayden, from The Kauff Krew, who was in town visiting, all the way from Texas!
I think Dylan was especially excited about seeing her in person!

Also because of Dylan...
I have recently learned more about The Parents' First Call Program through Boston Children's Hospital. This group consists of 40 trained parent volunteers who reach out to families who have, either prenatally or postnatally, received an unexpected diagnosis of Down syndrome. I will be attending the training session in Septemeber and will hopefully be selected to the program. I am really looking forward to reaching out to others, just as people have reached out to me.
Thank you Dylan, for being you. My life is richer, my heart fuller.
All because of you.

It is so neat to see all of your fun connections...isn't it the best to be friends with so many that we would of never met had we not been on the journey we are all on? I feel so fortunate as well...what great pics and cutie pies all these little ones are! What a neat program you are going to be a part of too! I can remember all to well the lonlieness you feel in the beginning of the journey and to have all we have now is just awesome...so keep us updated with that program...

What great pictures, especially the last one! I haven't gotten a chance to meet any of the great blogging families yet. There are some amazing people out there.

Wow, what an amazing opportunity! I agree. My life is so much richer b/c of Benjamin, in ways I never would have known.

How fun! I want so badly to meet other little babies!! I still haven't been able to and really want to. I'm happy Dylan already has so many great friends, what a blessing!

Wow, Dylan is pretty popular. It is good to finally see all of his friends. If the program you are getting into ever needs family members to speak please let me know. I would like a different group of people to brag to about Dylan, other than work :)

I love that pic of Kayden and Dylan : )

We are so lucky that you went through the heart surgery first and help lead the way. We will forever be grateful and now the are heart buddies : )
