I am only one year into this journey, and have already found myself being pleasantly surprised by the connections that we've made, and the doors that have been opened because of Down syndrome.
Sometimes it even makes me wonder about, and then begin to believe, that maybe things do happen for a reason, after all...

Thanks for sharing the article. I was totally weepy and not really sure why. It must be what happens when your life is touched with Down syndrome. :)

When life gives you lemons.....
A friend once said something to the effect of- we now have a special bond, one you would never ask for (parents of special needs children) but once you get it you realize how special it is.
And we love all the wonderful people we have gotten to meet : )
